Google Chrome – Sucks

Google Chrome… well, it’s just another web browser, nothing new that I can see just.. another web browser. Is gmail built in? No. What about google bookmarks? No.. So, what really was the point in it? I can’t even find the toolbar and the options are very slim. AND.. worse of all, from a straight install I can’t even browse…

    it’s just another browser……abosolutely right
    there are no add-ons, no advanced options and no gmail option.
    I’m sticking with FireFox.

    They would do better work if they only needed to create funny comics rather than produce something useful. But hey, it’s free and someone could use their ideas for something better. I’ve come to expect too much for nothing and especially from google. But I agree, it really does suck. I posted about it only 20 minutes after downloading it because it crashed TWICE.

    I’m no Google-Whore ™ but I think you should give it a chance – try and work out the problem and give it a go….I think it’s fast..but that’s about it – quite a few rendering problems on quite a few different types of elements….

    The best thing about it is the screen space given to the web page – none of that rediculous cluttering you get in IE and FF (which I change to remove all the extra menu lines)

    i dont like chrome, bc:
    => no proxie options
    => no “ad-blocking” or “no-script” features

    => big memory usage
    i have opened 4 similiar sites in firefox and chrome
    result: firefox used 82 MB and chrome needed 128 MB

    => imo firefox opens websites faster than chrome

    Chrome? smells like a big hype ^^
    regards to all

    ps: i will give them another try in several weeks.

    I think the innovations in Chrome will not be apparent for a little while because its a lot of techy dork stuff going on behind the scenes, mainly for speed and securities. But since its open source, you’ll likely see some of your other favorite browsers benefit incredibly, all while your none the wiser. Also keep in mind its the beta of Chrome, and since its open source, all your favorite “features” will eventually be added in either as an included feature or an add-on extension. I totally agree that at this point its just a boring experience, but give it a year or two.
